Mommie Dearest is a beer crafted specifically with new mothers in mind. The barley used to brew beer contains a polysaccharide which stimulates secretion of prolactin, the hormone necessary for milk production.

I designed the branding, accompanying illustrations, conceptualized the web presence, and created a series of marketing essentials to advertise the launch of this new product. I was heavily inspired by the vaguely unsettling narrative illustrations by Edward Gorey. Further reflection lead me to the idea of a mother’s love that transcends all boundaries, even death. This concept lead me to the name: Mommie Dearest— based on the 1981 film.
